Drummer Pit Dahm and his specially assembled ensemble present the outcome of his artist residency at Artikuss.
Born in 1990, Pit Dahm is a Luxembourgish drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. After completing his classical and jazz studies in Luxembourg, he moved to Amsterdam in 2010 to further his education in jazz drumming. In 2012, he won the Prinses Christina Competition with the Floris Kappeyne Trio. He graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2014 and has since built a successful career as both a performer and educator.
Pit Dahm's music defies stylistic boundaries. Blending composed material with improvisation, he draws inspiration from a wide range of musical traditions—from jazz to classical music—to create a distinctive and highly personal musical language.
