Project description
The City of Luxembourg will be carrying out redevelopment and infrastructure renewal works in Rue Adolphe Omlor, as well as Rue de Pont-Rémy, Rue Jacques Sturm, Rue Mathias Kirsch and Rue Paul Medinger. The works will be undertaken in collaboration with the following City departments:
- VDL – Service Voirie (Department of Streets): Complete upgrade of the road superstructure and expansion of the park on Rue du Nord.
- VDL– Service Eaux (Water Department): Replacement of the principal water main and of deteriorated connections.
- VDL – Service Canalisation (Sewer Department): Replacement of mixed wastewater drains in Rue Adolphe Omlor.
- VDL – Service Éclairage public (Public Lighting Department): Replacement and adaptation of public lighting network.
- Creos Luxembourg SA – Électricité: Replacement and upgrade of the low-voltage electricity grid.
- Creos Luxembourg SA Gaz: Diversion of existing gas mains and replacement of deteriorated connections.

Traffic information
How will traffic be affected during the works?
For vehicular traffic:
A pedestrian walkway will be maintained at all times on one side of the road. Access to private properties will be maintained, while vehicle access will be kept wherever technically feasible. Access for emergency service vehicles will be guaranteed at all times. Parking spaces will be closed in phases as the works progress.
For businesses and deliveries:
The City of Luxembourg will try to ensure access for deliveries to local businesses for the entire duration of the works.
As construction progresses, there will be changes to the flow of traffic in this area. Appropriate signage will be put in place by the <em>Service Circulation</em> (Traffic Depatment). The City of Luxembourg thanks local residents, businesses and road users for their understanding and regrets any inconvenience that the works may cause.
Your home utility connections
- During the works, representatives from the City of Luxembourg, and from private contractors involved in the works, will visit residents' homes.
- The purpose of the visit is to assess the condition of your existing connections.
- If you wish to have your existing connections replaced, please tell the City representatives when they visit your home.

Stay informed
To make life easier for residents while these works are being carried out, the City of Luxembourg has implemented a series of measures, including the option to participate in meetings regarding the progress of the work. Residents affected by the works may participate in these meetings to obtain additional information about the project's progress and air any grievances they may have. Please contact the works coordinator, or one of the construction mediators.
