Lëtzebuerger Chrëschtmaart

Place d'Armes has been the historic home of Luxembourg City's Christmas market since 1984. This year, it will feature 37 chalets offering a host of gift ideas and gourmet delights. Further attractions include the city's traditional Christmas tree and a giant nativity scene, which are sure to delight visitors of all ages.

  • Fridays and Saturdays: 11:00 to 22:00*

Early closing on 24 December 2023: open from 11:00–18:00.

*Please note that establishments may remain open until 22:00 from Sunday to Thursday, and until 23:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

Traditional Luxembourgish Christmas tree

A 14-metre spruce tree sourced from Luxembourg City, around 20–25 years old, decorated with fairy lights and red baubles takes pride of place at this market.

Traditional giant nativity scene

Wanterchalet

The Lëtzebuerger Chrëschtmaart will include a "winter chalet" (Wanterchalet).

"Chahut des Contes"

Merry-go-round for all ages at Place d'Armes.

"Wanterzuch"

The "Wanterzuch" train ride takes children for a ride through a winter forest.
