Kinnekswiss loves

During the "Kinnekswiss loves" festival, the iconic Kinnekswiss located in the Municipal Parc in the city centre hosts a huge open-air concert. This truly unique event sees the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, as well as international musicians and singers such as Elīna Garanča (2018) and Bryn Terfel (2019), take to the stage in a picturesque setting.

The two-day event was kicked off on Saturday, 9 July at 21:00 with the "Viva Verdi" concert by the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, under the direction of Gustavo Gimeno, and the Luxembourg Chamber Music Choir, directed by Antonio Grosu. They will be accompanied by soprano Kristin Opolais and baritone Thomas Hampson.

The festivities continued on Sunday, 10 July at 11:00 with a concert by the Orchestre d’Harmonie Junior, under the direction of Jean Thill. Throughout the day, different ensembles of the Luxembourg City Conservatoire took to the stage. The fourth edition of this musical event ended with a colossal concert by 45 musicians of the Orchestre de Chambre du Luxembourg, 90 singers of the Luxembourg City Conservatoire Choir, and two alumni of the Luxembourg City Conservatoire, Nadia Ettinger (violin) and Jean-Jacques Maillet (violin).
