Areas for people with special needs

The City has taken a range of special measures to ensure the National Day festivities are open and inclusive for all.

For people with reduced mobility, the Call-a-Bus service will be running on 22 June from 19:15 to 22:30 between P+R Bouillon and the city centre (Avenue Monterey). City Sounds: 22 and 23 June

A special area will be reserved for people with special needs at the City Sounds festival on 22 and 23 June at Champ du Glacis!

Public toilets

Luxembourg City has a number of free public toilets, which will remain open later during the National Day celebrations on 22 and 23 June.

CGDIS safety measures

Precautionary measures

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) has prepared a contingency emergency response plan to ensure the National Day celebrations continue to run smoothly even in the event of an incident or accident.

The City asks the public to respect the safety perimeter around the fireworks launch area.

Emergency medical services during the National Day celebrations

A multidisciplinary team of around 100 people, comprising members of the Luxembourg Fire and Rescue Centre (CIS) as well as volunteers, will be deployed by CGDIS to ensure public safety.

To ensure the adequate provision of medical services (to spectators, entertainers, artists, etc.) in the city centre and surrounding areas, CGDIS will set up an advanced medical post, as well as fire protection monitoring posts, ambulance stations, and mobile units on foot, motorbike and bicycle, at strategic points so that these agents can intervene as quickly as possible.

To contact the emergency services, please call the usual number: 112.
