Overview
This year, "Summer op der Gëlle Fra" will be featuring a musical programme with concerts and DJ performances, food and drink stands – including takeaway sweet and savoury treats, a cocktail bar and a beer bar –, an open-air library, plus a range of attractions for all ages. Place de la Constitution will be decked out for summer, and will provide visitors with a host of options to hang out and soak up the incomparable atmosphere of one of Europe's most beautiful balconies.

Place de la Constitution will be transformed into a warm and welcoming, fun-filled spot, where people of all ages can relax and enjoy the summer. Among the many attractions that are planned are a sandpit for children, a pétanque court for shared moments of fun with family or friends, a merry-go-round to delight younger visitors, and a PlayFountain water attraction to cool off on warmer days.

In the second part of the summer, "d'Stad liest" will take over Place de la Constitution, transforming it into a haven for readers. Book lovers of all ages will find that the laid-back atmosphere of this open-air library at the foot of the "Gëlle Fra" is the perfect spot to engross themselves in a book or flip through a magazine. In addition to featuring an extensive selection of books and periodicals, "d'Stad liest" has programmed a series of book readings, themed evenings and workshops that promise to captivate children and grown-ups alike.

To round off the summertime programme of events in Place de la Constitution, the food and drink stands, the pétanque court, and the sandpit and merry-go-round for children will remain open until Sunday, 14 September 2025, so that visitors can make the most of the summertime atmosphere.
Practical information
- The bars and food and drink stands will be open every day from 11:00 to 22:00; on Fridays, Saturdays and the evenings before public holidays, establishments will be open until 23:00.
- Place de Constitution is easy to get to by bus ("Roosevelt" stop) and tram ("Hamilius" station).
- Public toilets – including a mobile toilet for people with reduced mobility – will be accessible during the event's opening hours.
