Albie Donnelly's SUPERCHARGE

about

In 1973, Liverpool bandleader Albie Donnelly founded Supercharge together with a group of local musicians as an alternative to the ever-present Merseybeat sound. Rhythm & Blues, Soul, Funk, and plenty of British humor characterized their debut album, Between Music And Madness.

The band's subsequent career reads like an encyclopedia of modern popular music:

Studio recordings in London with Bob Geldof and the Boomtown Rats, record deals with Richard Branson's Virgin Music, productions by Robert “Mutt” Lange (Graham Parker, AC/DC, Bryan Adams), gold records, number one hits, and tours in Australia. Performances alongside Graham Parker, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry, Ray Charles, B.B. King, and Queen established Albie Donnelly's Supercharge as Europe's number one Rhythm & Blues band.

Lightnin' Bug

about

It is not widely known that there exists a torrid, feverish Belgium, washed by the mighty waters of astonishing Mississippi-like straits.

Yet it is in this very Belgium that the power trio "LIGHTNIN' BUG" was formed.

Founded in 1997 by Greg JANICKI, a singer and lead guitarist whose playing is both poignant and incisive, capable of blazing bursts of exhilaration on his indestructible Stratocaster, the band is backed by a first-rate rhythm section, as sharp and powerful as the hum of a jet engine, featuring BIDON on bass and Philippe PAHAUT on drums.

Fred Barreto & The Syndicate

Fred Barreto & The Syndicate is guitarist Fred Barreto's blues-rock powerhouse - a band built on a tight core and a rotating cast of guest artists, so no two shows are ever quite the same. Grown out of the Cavallini & Barreto Syndicate, the group pairs Fred's furious, instantly recognizable guitar with a rhythm section of Nadja Prange (organ, piano, backing vocals), Bruno Tauzin (bass), and Jim Scheck (drums). Each concert welcomes a different special guest into the fold - recent names have included Maxime Bender (sax), Christophe Reitz (violin), and Ewen Curreli (guitar) - giving every performance its own character while keeping the same raw energy at its core.

Rooted in electric blues and rock but boxed in by neither, The Syndicate moves between soulful slow burns and full-throttle grooves, always driven by Fred's Salvador da Bahia roots and more than 30 years on stage. Big stage or small room, The Syndicate shows up and gives it everything.
