Luxembourg City currently owns 47 housing units (houses and apartments) in different districts. As new construction projects are completed, more units are becoming available: as part of the project on Rue Paul Albrecht in Cents, 33 new units are being added to the existing offering!

Interested? If you meet the eligibility criteria for the allocation of these units, you can apply to join a waiting list using this application form.

Eligibility criteria and allocation rules

Housing is allocated based on eligibility criteria – the applicant must not be the owner, co-owner, or emphyteutic, superficiary or usufructuary lessee of a dwelling; income; etc.) – as well as allocation rules, which take into account the applicant's basic socio-economic situation (place of work, work experience, etc.).

Available housing

The College of Aldermen regularly allocates available accommodation units to wait-listed applicants and is currently putting up the 33 available housing units for rent:

  • 4 one-bedroom units (Type C1),
  • 20 two-bedroom units (Type C2),
  • 7 three-bedroom units (Type C3), and
  • 2 four-bedroom units (Type C4).

Some of the housing units are also accessible for people with reduced mobility (PRM).
