The law of 9 June 2022 stipulates that it is prohibited to mix or treat biowaste and green waste together with plastics, whether biodegradable or not.

Accepted

Kitchen waste, leftovers (cooked and uncooked), fruit, vegetables, potatoes, coffee grounds, teabags, bread, food that is spoiled or past its use-by date, meat, fish, etc.

Non-woody garden waste, turf, grass, weeds, vegetables, windfall fruit, flowers, hay, leaves, straw, pot plants (without soil or pot), dung from small animals without litter, etc.

Paper bags (only if used as waste bags for organic waste)

Not accepted

Household waste, cigarette butts, fats and oils, sweepings, sanitary towels and tampons, ash and coal, etc.

Woody garden waste, hedge clippings, tree and shrub trimmings, clippings of roses, hedges and bushes, wood chippings, soil from plants, treated woods, etc.

Paper, napkins, tissues, waste paper, etc.

Cat litter, diapers, etc.

Bags, packaging and products made of biodegradable plastic
