Project description
The City will be carrying out infrastructure work in Rue de Rollingergrund as part of the development of a 30 km/h zone. The works will be undertaken in collaboration with the following City departments:
- VDL – Service Voirie (Department of Streets): Complete upgrade of the road superstructure on Rue de Rollingergrund to make it suitable for a 30 km/h zone.
- VDL – Service Eaux (Water Department):Localised adjustments to the drinking water network at the entrance to Rue Val Fleuri.
Works schedule
Commencement of work: February 2026
Expected duration of works: 220 working days
Planned completion: December 2026
Traffic information
For vehicular traffic:
The affected sections will be gradually closed off to traffic as the works progress. Pedestrian access and access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout the works. Vehicular access to private properties will be maintained insofar as technically feasible.
For businesses and deliveries:
The City of Luxembourg will try to ensure access for deliveries to local businesses for the entire duration of the works, either from the side leading to <em>Côte d'Eich</em> or <em>Rue du Palais de justice</em>.
As construction progresses, there will be changes to traffic flow in this area. Appropriate signage will be put in place by the City's <em>Service Circulation</em> (Traffic Department). The City of Luxembourg thanks local residents, businesses and road users for their understanding and regrets any inconvenience that the works may cause.

Update of pedestrian crossings and bus stops to bring these up to code. Installation of three raised platforms. General narrowing of this road section by moving the kerbs on both sides.

- During the works, representatives from the City of Luxembourg, and from private contractors involved in the works, will visit residents' homes.
- The purpose of the visit is to assess the condition of your existing connections.
- If you wish to have your existing connections replaced, please tell the City representatives when they visit your home.

Stay informed
To make life easier for residents once the project gets underway, the City of Luxembourg will put in place a series of measures, including giving residents the possibility to participate in on-site construction meetings (by appointment only). Residents affected by the works may participate in these meetings to obtain additional information about the project's progress and air any grievances they may have. Please contact the works coordinator, or one of the construction mediators.
