On-call hospital emergency services

From 17:00 on Friday, 3 October 2025 to 7:00 on Monday, 6 October 2025, the hospital in Kirchberg, which will be on duty for accidents and emergencies, will remain permanently accessible.

Access for private vehicles

On Friday, 3 October, the road closures in the city will not affect people trying to get to the Hôpital Kirchberg. However, on 4 October, due to the Pont Grande-Duchesse Charlotte being closed, people seeking to get to this on-duty hospital may need to use alternative routes.

Getting there by public transport

Tram

The Hôpital Kirchberg can be reached by tram from the "Alphonse Weicker" and "Luxexpo" stops. However, on Saturday, 4 October, the tram service will experience some disruptions from around 17:50 to around 23:00 between "Universitéit" and "Stäreplaz – Étoile".

Municipal buses

There will be some changes to service on bus lines 12, 16 and 21. Meanwhile, lines 7, 25 and 26 will operate as usual. Please note that lines 7 and 25 do not run on Sundays.

Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) has prepared a contingency emergency response plan to ensure the celebrations continue on 3, 4 and 5 October run smoothly even in the event of an incident or accident.

A multidisciplinary team of over 100 people, comprising members of the Luxembourg Fire and Rescue Centre (CIS) as well as volunteers, will be deployed by CGDIS throughout the three days of celebrations to ensure public safety. To ensure the adequate provision of medical services (to spectators, entertainers, artists, etc.) in the city centre and surrounding areas, CGDIS will set up an advanced medical post, as well as fire trucks, ambulance stations, and mobile units, at strategic points so that these agents can intervene as quickly as possible.

To contact the emergency services, please call the usual number: 112.
