The City of Luxembourg has planned an incredible array of events for this summer.

By popular demand, the City Party is back for its fourth edition in 2026! The City Party is a fun-filled night of music and dancing for young people aged 12 to 17.

From 22 May to 14 June, the Place de la Constitution transforms into a lively, welcoming spot with floral décor, food, entertainment, and music for a relaxed, festive vibe.

A series of one-time events – including cultural, sports and intergenerational activities – at the Schluechthaus.

The Luxembourg City Business Association, in partnership with the City of Luxembourg, is inviting one and all to the traditional Stroossemaartin the streets of the capital. 

The Winterlights festival transforms Luxembourg City into a winter wonderland with Christmas markets all across the city, as well as live concerts, exhibitions, performances and workshops for kids.

The old Luxembourgish tradition of Buergbrennen (bonfire night) takes place on Buergsonnden, the Sunday after Carnival Sunday.

The iconic Éimaischen market is a craft fair that mainly features pottery and ceramics.

On National Day, Luxembourg celebrates the birthday of its reigning monarch. This tradition started with Grand Duchess Charlotte, whose birthday was on 23 January. The official celebrations, however, were held in the summer, on 23 June. The annual celebrations have been held on this date ever since.

The Schueberfouer is the largest funfair in Luxembourg and the Greater Region. From late August to early September, visitors flock to the fairground at Champ du Glacis to experience the magical atmosphere of the Luxembourg City funfair, which covers a whopping 4 hectares in the heart of the city.

Luxembourg City's local fairs offer a friendly and fun environment for people to come together and socialise.

The City of Luxembourg supports and participates in the organisation of a large number of sports events.

Classical music enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a midday musical interlude on selected Fridays at different venues.

To liven up the streets of Luxembourg City, pianos will be set up all across town in popular thoroughfares, at tourist spots, in residential neighbourhoods and at local parks.
