About

OneRepublic is made up of singer, songwriter and leader Ryan Tedder, guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, keyboardist Brian Willett, bass guitarist and cellist Brent Kutzle, and drummer Eddie Fisher. Since its formation, the band's music has been streamed more than 5 billion times on Spotify alone.

Biography

The band released its first album, Dreaming Out Loud, in 2007. The album featured the band's break-out hit "Apologize", which sold more than 20 million copies. The single broke world records for digital sales and radio air time, and earned the band a Grammy nomination. In 2009, OneRepublic released its second album, Waking Up, which featured the hits "All the Right Moves", "Secrets" and "Good Life".

In 2013, the band released the certified platinum album Native, which featured the number one single "Counting Stars", a song that racked up more than 41 million sales. Native was followed by Oh My My in 2016, and then the band's fifth album, Human, in 2021.

In 2022, the band released the hit "I Ain't Worried", which was featured on the soundtrack of the blockbuster film Top Gun: Maverick. To date the song has been streamed more than 3 billion times. In April 2024, OneRepublic released the single "I Don't Wanna Wait" in collaboration with David Guetta. The song has been streamed more than 130 million times worldwide since its release.

The band also released "Nobody (from Kaiju No. 8)", the closing theme song of the hit animated series Kaiju No. 8, adapted from the manga of the same name. This was followed by the release of a second song from the series, "Invincible (from Kaiju No. 8)". After dropping these singles, OneRepublic then released its sixth album, Artificial Paradise, which featured the songs "Hurt" and "Sink or Swim". They then went on to release a deluxe edition featuring a collaboration with Jelly Roll, as well as acoustic versions of several of their hits.

The band also released "Chasing Paradise" with Kygo, and "Tell Me" with Ikky and Karan Aujla, and teamed up with the Supermen Lovers for a new version of their cult hit "Starlight" – called "Starlight (The Fame)" – to mark the song's 25th anniversary.

More recently, the OneRepublic released the single and music video "Beautiful Colors (from Kaiju No. 8)", which was selected as the closing theme song for the series's second season.
