Overview
This garden was designed as a metaphor of the path through life. Its symbol-rich layout invites visitors to reflect on the choices, obstacles and possibilities that punctuate our journey through life.

The garden
The garden is laid out around a path that evokes a long journey. As visitors proceed along the path, they encounter a variety of obstacles in the form of beams and mirrors.
As visitors approach the mirrors, they see themselves reflected in them, which suggests a simple idea: that the main obstacle on our path is very often ourselves.
The path gradually narrows as the visitor approaches the back of the garden, accentuating the sensation of depth and the perception of a challenging journey. Hedges of yew border the path, and naturally draw visitors' gaze in that direction.
Stones along the path invite visitors to slow down and pause for a moment. In this way, the garden becomes a space that prompts reflection and contemplation, reminding us that the limits we perceive could also be opportunities to explore new perspectives.
