On Monday, 1 September 2025, Luxembourg City will be hosting its 96th Grande Braderie, the popular street market traditionally held at the end of the summer that provides visitors with the perfect opportunity to (re)discover the city's many retailers. At this year's event, more than 200 retailers will be displaying their wares in the streets of the Gare district and the city centre. To the extent possible, the streets in the districts where the Braderie will be held will be closed to vehicular traffic, transforming them into pedestrian-only zones. From 9:00 to 19:00, visitors will be able to pick up bargains, try sweet and savoury treats from the many food stalls, and generally enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Attractions for all ages

In Ville-Haute, both children and adults alike can try their luck at the large grabber machine on the bandstand in Place d'Armes: over €9,000 worth of gifts, donated by the city's retailers, will literally be up for grabs. Visitors can also win one of 300 "Cup2Go" cups donated by the City of Luxembourg. From 10:00 to 18:00, in Place de Paris in the Gare district, visitors will be treated to a wide range of attractions, including: construction games, imitation games, wooden games and oversized games hosted by Ludoland; Lego workshops run by Bricks4kidz; and a graffiti workshop hosted by the non-profit organization I love Graffiti and run by the artists Sader and Alesk. In Place Guillaume II, visitors will get a close-up look at the Luxembourg Air Rescue helicopter, and will also be able to find out more about the range of services offered by professionals in the leisure and services sectors.
