Overview
This garden was conceived of as place that spurs a desire to discover and share, and to reconnect with nature. It affords an opportunity to observe how fruit and vegetables grow, and to savour their taste straight from the source.

The garden
Designed to awaken the senses, this garden shows that it is possible to create a green space that is at once simple, productive and environmentally friendly. A natural-stone walkway with greenery-filled joints guides visitors to vegetable patches, fruit-bearing shrubs and several rest areas.
Some of the produce can be picked and eaten right away, while other plants play an essential role in promoting biodiversity by attracting insects and pollinators.
Sustainability is a core principle in this project. The materials used are mostly regional, the soils are peat-free, and the plants were selected to promote insect life. Pattern-decorated steel frame pergolas structure the space and afford new vistas in the garden.
The designers opted for this layout with the aim of raising visitors' awareness of the abundance of the plant world, and promoting gardening and the work of professional gardeners.
