People with reduced mobility

Call-a-Bus

For persons with reduced mobility, the "Call-a-Bus" service will be running as normal on 3, 4 and 5 October 2025.

Reserved spaces on Friday, 3 October

The City of Luxembourg will set up an area reserved for people with special needs at Place Guillaume II, to ensure the livestream viewing of the official ceremonies is open and inclusive for all.

Reserved spaces on Saturday, 4 October

The City of Luxembourg will set up an area reserved for people with special needs at Place Guillaume II, to ensure the livestream viewing of the new Grand Duke's official tour, "Dem Grand-Duc seng feierlech Tournée", is open and inclusive for all.

Reservation required. Contact the Service Intégration et besoins spécifiques (Special Needs Department) to book your spot by 17:00 on Friday, 26 September 2025 by email (integratioun@vdl.lu) or by phone (+352-4796-4150).

Drinking fountains and public toilets

Numerous drinking fountains and free public toilets can be found in various spots around Luxembourg City. There will be a sufficient number of public toilets, including those that are accessible for persons with reduced mobility, at Champ du Glacis.

The City's public toilets will be accessible as usual, with the exception of:

  • those at the Cercle Cité on Rue du Curé, which will be closed on 3 October;
  • those at Champ du Glacis, which will remain open, exceptionally, until 2:00 on the night between 4 and 5 October.

City of Luxembourg municipal departments

Our municipal departments and offices should be operating as normal, with a few exceptions during the weekend:

  • There may be temporary interruptions in access to the Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque.
  • Notre-Dame Cemetery will be closed on Saturday, 4 October, to allow the drone operators to practise for their spectacular light show.
