Walking Bus lines
Belair-Kayser L1 (January 2026)
On Monday, 5 January 2026, the Walking Bus network will begin operating the Line 1 Belair-Kayser. To better meet the needs of families, the City is opening this new line in response to a specific request from parents, reflecting its commitment to providing a flexible and responsive service.
Limpertsberg, Eich and Bonnevoie-Schlechter (spring 2026)
The City also plans to open new Walking Bus lines in the Limpertsberg, Eich and Bonnevoie-Schlechter school districts, after the Carnival break.
In all, the City's Service Circulation (Traffic Department) is currently planning to roll out nine new lines, based on criteria that include school location, where the pupils live, local urban structure, local road network, and main local thoroughfares. Of the nine new lines, four will serve the Limpertsberg-Ermesinde school, a further four the Bonnevoie-Schlechter school, and one will serve the Eich school district.
Note: the rollout of these new lines will depend on the number of accompanying adults available and the number of children who register.
Call for Walking Bus chaperones
Ahead of the opening of the new Walking Bus line, and to ensure the smooth operation of existing lines, the City is issuing a call for chaperones to accompany children as they walk to and from their elementary school.
