Reading Worlds – The silent reading festival
Venture intrepidly into Reading Worlds: a first-of-its-kind silent reading festival, which will be held at the Schluechthaus in Hollerich on Sunday, 14 June 2026.
Between 14:00 and 18:00, take some time for yourself: a rare moment of calm and relaxation, surrounded by other book-lovers, in a friendly and peaceful atmosphere. Immerse yourself in a thrilling novel. Leaf through a piece of non-fiction. Rediscover a beloved classic. Or share your love of reading with your kids! Reading Worlds is an opportunity to slow down and indulge in the joy of reading – in company, but in quiet.
There is no fixed agenda: you can just drift through the pages of your favourite book, and let the afternoon drift along with you. Visitors can make themselves comfortable, read, chat, move about however they wish, and enjoy unobtrusive and calming background music, designed to go along with the activity of reading, but never to disturb.
