As part of the next phase in construction work to build the new section of the tramline in Kirchberg (K2A), changes to traffic and public transport will come into effect from Sunday, 3 May 2026 and, according to current plans, are expected to continue until spring 2027.

Road closures and traffic changes

Due to the next phase of construction work on <em>Boulevard Konrad Adenauer</em>, this road will be made one-way from 5:00 on Sunday, 3 May 2026 as of <em>Avenue John F. Kennedy</em> (west end) with traffic flowing in the direction of <em>Rue Erasme</em>. 

Changes to the municipal bus network

The following changes to the municipal bus network will apply as of 4:00 on Sunday, 3 May:

Line 6, 16, 18, 21, 86 and 88 buses travelling to the city centre will be rerouted via <em>Rue Erasme</em>, <em>Rue Alcide de Gasperi</em> and <em>Rue du Fort Niedergrünewald</em>. The "Jean Monnet Quai 2" and "B.E.I. Quai 2" stops will be closed and replaced by the "Léon Hengen Quai 2", "Niedergrünewald Quai 2" and "Philharmonie/MUDAM Quai 2" stops.

Line 25, 81 and 82 buses travelling to Weimerskirch will be rerouted via <em>Rue Erasme</em>, <em>Rue Alcide de Gasperi</em> and <em>Rue Charles-Léon Hammes</em>. The "Jean Monnet Quai 2" stop will be closed and replaced by the "Léon Hengen Quai 2" stop and a temporary "Jean Monnet Quai 4" stop on <em>Rue Charles-Léon Hammes</em>.
