City of Luxembourg marks 100 years of bus service
To mark the 100th anniversary of bus service and the 150th anniversary of public transport in Luxembourg City, the City of Luxembourg will be hosting a day of festivities on Saturday, 6 June 2026.
The event is scheduled to be held from 10:00 to 17:00 at the Service Autobus headquarters in Hollerich, and will provide an opportunity for visitors to learn more about public transport in Luxembourg City, including how it has evolved over time, its essential role in the development of urban mobility, and its technical and historical legacy, which has transformed the face of the capital over the years. The City also plans to use the event to raise public awareness of the importance of public transport for the development of sustainable mobility, and to share its plans to achieve a fully electrified fleet – a guiding principle for the network's future development – by the end of 2026 or early 2027.
