Overview

This ephemeral garden reveals the often hidden beauty of nature: exposed roots, delicate mosses and wild plants make up a landscape where the invisible is made visible.

The garden

The garden features dead trees whose roots – which are usually underground – are deliberately exposed for visitors to see. They are the highlight of the garden, and symbolise the deep ties that bind plants to the earth.

The ground is carpeted with mosses and ferns, creating a soft yet wild decor reminiscent of natural undergrowth.

Some surfaces have been painted with hydrochromic ink. When rain falls, patterns gradually appear on the painted surfaces, revealing motifs that are invisible in dry weather. In this way, the weather is used as a creative element, providing visitors with a chance to engage in a poetic interaction with the landscape.

This garden consequently invites us to observe nature in a different way, and to discover the richness of natural cycles that often unfold unseen.
