The Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque is the ideal spot if you are looking for a place to read and meet people. It offers a wide range of books and documents for users of all ages and reading levels, and loans are free of charge. It also offers a number of cultural activities. The library fosters a love of reading in young people, facilitates access to knowledge and culture, and helps to preserve the country's cultural heritage.
Services and activities
The Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque (library) is a public space where people can not only read, but also meet others, learn, relax and have fun. The main services and activities that are available to users include:
- Loans (with the exception of encyclopaedias and dictionaries, all Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque collections are freely accessible)
- 30 on-site workstations available for study or research, plus five publicly available computers with internet connectivity on the ground floor
- On-site reading and relaxation area on the ground floor
- Home book deliveries: book deliveries for seniors with reduced mobility
- Literary Tuesdays: readings and meetings once or twice a month
- Tuffi reading workshops, for children aged 4–6 and 7–9, every Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30
- Luxembourg digital media library (MéNuLu): shared video-on-demand (a joint project involving several libraries across the country)
- Guided tours of the library for school classes and adults
- "D'Stad liest": reading-related activities for young people and adults during the city's summer festivities
- Various events – book readings, film screenings, guided tours, etc. – organised by the City of Luxembourg and/or external partners

How to use the service
To use these services, you simply need to be a member of one of the partner libraries, i.e. the Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque, the National Library of Luxembourg, the Eschduerf Library, the Differdange Municipal Library, the Grevenmacher Municipal Library, the Dudelange Regional Public Library, the Tony Bourg Library, the National Library's Bicherbus, the Esch Library, the Ettelbréck Library, the Mierscher Lieshaus, the Musel-Sauer-Mediathéik, and the Weeltzer Ludo-Bibliothéik.

How to use the service
To make full use of the service, you simply need to be a member of one of the partner libraries – i.e. the Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque, the National Library of Luxembourg, the National Audiovisual Centre's Media Library (<em>Médiathèque du Centre national de l'audiovisuel</em>), the Mierscher Lieshaus, the Ettelbréck Library, the Esch Library, the Differdange Municipal Library, and the Dudelange Regional Public Library – and search for a document on a-z.lu, the search engine for Luxembourg libraries. You can also access the platforms directly through their links.
- Kanopy (United States): fiction films, documentaries, and children's content in English. Viewing limited to 15 films per month; unlimited for Kanopy Kids and documentary series.
- Filmfriend (Germany): fiction films, Luxembourg productions, and children's films; unlimited access.
- Tënk: documentary films; unlimited access.

All works shot on film have been digitised by the National Audiovisual Centre (<em>Centre national de l’audiovisuel</em> – CNA), but the selection also includes natively digital short films.
