Second QuattroPole economic forum
The QuattroPole city network will hold its second QuattroPole Forum on Thursday, 1 October 2026, from 13:00 to 18:00 at the Maison de l'Entreprise in Metz. This cross-border economic forum will focus on the future development of QuattroPole's four member cities: Luxembourg, Metz, Saarbrücken and Trier. It brings people together to exchange ideas, share inspiration and reflect on how to foster the development of the Greater Region as a whole.
The event brings together local initiatives and cross-border cooperation through a series of thematic roundtables hosted by each of the network's member cities. These discussions will shine a light on innovative urban strategies for the Greater Region, drawing on the partner cities' experience and showcasing ideas that can shape the region's future.
Four cities, four visions for the future
Luxembourg: entrepreneurship breathes new life into the city centre
The City of Luxembourg will present itspop-up store programme. These short-term commercial spaces give entrepreneurs the opportunity to test new business ideas while bringing vacant retail spots back to life. This project demonstrates how municipal support can help foster and support entrepreneurial initiative.
Metz: putting data to work for a smarter city
Metz will showcase its smart city and digital transformation initiatives. Using data helps improve public policy planning and enhance urban services. The topics covered will include mobility, energy, the environment and waste management.
Saarbrücken: tourism as an economic driver
Saarbrücken will explore how tourism can contribute to economic and urban development. An ambitious tourism strategy can create new opportunities for economic growth, enhance the city's appeal and strengthen cross-border cooperation.
Trier: turning sustainability into economic opportunity
Trier will focus on sustainable economy and impact entrepreneurship. Against a backdrop of resource scarcity, economic uncertainty and geopolitical change, the discussions will explore how businesses can achieve economic success while creating social value and reducing their environmental impact.
