Roadworks on Avenue de la Gare

Lifting works will be carried out at 52, avenue de la Gare from 6:00 to 12:00 on Sunday, 21 December 2025.
This will affect traffic as follows:
- Avenue de la Gare will be closed to traffic between Rue de Bonnevoie and Place de la Gare;
- Rue du Fort Neipperg will be closed to traffic (except for residents and deliveries) between Avenue de la Gare and Rue du Chemin de Fer;
The Service Circulation (Traffic Department) will ensure proper signage is provided.
Please also note the following changes to public transport services:
- AVL lines 4, 10, 13, 14/22 and 18: in the direction of Hollerich and Gasperich, these buses will be diverted via Place Wallis and Rocade de Bonnevoie. The stops "Al Avenue Quai 2" and "Gare Centrale Quai 2" will not be served. Instead, buses will call at: "Wallis Quai 4", "Gare-Rocade Quai 2", and the temporary stop "Gare Centrale/Rue Hollerich Quai 2" (located between Place de la Gare and Rue Wenceslas 1er). Travelling towards the city centre, the "Gare Centrale Quai 1" and "Al Avenue Quai 1" stops will be closed and replaced by the stops "Gare Centrale/Rue Hollerich Quai 1" (located between Place de la Gare and Rue Wenceslas 1er) and "Gare-Rocade Quai 1", as well as the temporary stop "Avranches Quai 1" located opposite number 6 on Boulevard d'Avranches.
- Line 23: buses going to Luxembourg Central Station will not stop at "Al Avenue Quai 2", instead serving the temporary stop "Fortuna Quai 1" located opposite number 134 on Boulevard de la Pétrusse. In the direction of "Eich, centre culturel", the stop "Gare Centrale Quai 1" will be closed and replaced by the temporary stops "Gare Centrale/Rue de Hollerich Quai 1" (located between Rue Wenceslas 1er and Place de la Gare), "Gare-Rocade Quai 1" and "Wallis Quai 3".
- AVL line 29: in the direction of Hesperange ("Cité um Schlass"), the "Wallis Quai 1" and "Gare Centrale Quai 2" stops will be closed and replaced by the "Gare Rocade Quai 2" stop.
