On Saturday, 17 October 2026, the Bonnevoie-Kaltreis community garden will be open to the public. Member gardeners and City staff overseeing the project will be on hand to talk with visitors.

The event offers a chance to explore a welcoming space where eco-friendly fruit and vegetable growing goes hand in hand with bringing local residents together.

Launched as a pilot project in 2013, the Bonnevoie-Kaltreis community garden brings local residents together to grow flowers, fruit and vegetables.

The community gardens are cultivated and managed without pesticides, chemical fertilisers or genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The City supports community gardeners by regularly offering training in eco-friendly gardening practices.
