Events at the Schluechthaus in November
From March to November, the City of Luxembourg hosts a series of events at the Schluechthaus as part of the pre-works programme to modernise and revitalise the Old Slaughterhouse. On the agenda are a range of cultural offerings featuring urban art, concerts, creative workshops and design and second-hand markets.
Programme of events scheduled in November
7 November 2026: Repair Café
From 10:00 to 15:00 on Saturday, 7 November 2026, volunteer repairers will be on hand to help visitors breathe new life into damaged or faulty items, including small household appliances, jewellery, clothing, bicycles, toys and everyday objects.
Visitors, who can all bring in something for fixing (except coffee machines!) may be asked to assist the repairers, who will be more than happy to share their know-how. As an educational initiative, "Repair Cafés" seek to encourage visitors to acquire the skills to recondition household items that need minor repairs, so as to reduce waste, new purchases and, consequently, our carbon footprint.
Free admission / Participation is free
8 November 2026: Creative Sunday: Lino printing workshop
Creative Sundays are back again with a lino printing workshop on Sunday, 8 November 2026, from 10:00 to 14:00.
