Donation of 400 portable energy stations to the City of Kyiv

On Tuesday, 23 September 2025, the City of Luxembourg donated 400 kits, each consisting of a portable energy station and a 2.8 kWh battery, to the City of Kyiv. Attending the ceremony were Anne Calteux, representative of the European Commission in Luxembourg, and Claude Radoux, honorary consul of Ukraine.
Once transported to Ukraine, the generators will help ensure that crucial infrastructure, such as hospitals, schools, nurseries and care homes can function properly while the country's energy grid suffers massive disruptions due to Russian attacks.
This follows an initial donation of 19 generators, providing a total of 630kVA in view of supporting Ukraine's energy security, as well as 14 buses to be used by the Ukrainian government to provide school transport and thus access to education for children in times of war.
