Caught in the crossfire of war, Donbas civilians face an impossible choice: flee their homes or risk staying, while volunteers courageously rescue people and animals.
« The idea for this film came to me about a year after I began helping to evacuate civilians from the frontline territories of Ukraine. Initially, I was struck by how many people stubbornly refused to leave, and I simply couldn't understand why. But over time, I gradually began to see and comprehend their reasons. » (Director’s statement)
