Concerts in Luxembourg City on 21 June
This year, Luxembourg's National Day coincides with the 25th anniversary of the reign of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and, ahead of the occasion, the City of Luxembourg is delighted to offer you a brief glimpse of its rich programme of festivities and musical events to mark the event. The festivities are due to kick off on Saturday, 21 June 2025 with a series of concerts in the city centre.
Concerts
Place Guillaume II
- 17:45: Concert by soul-jazz singer China Moses
- 19:30: Official welcome of Their Royal Highnesses, The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, by Luxembourg City Mayor Lydie Polfer; cake-cutting ceremony
- 21:00: Concert by the American jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, accompanied by the Luxembourg National Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Gast Waltzing
- From 23:00: DJ Don Simon
Grand Ducal Palace
- 22:45: sound & light show (25 ans de règne – 25 Years of Reign) (15 minutes). The 15-minute show will be projected on a loop for one hour onto the facade of the Grand Ducal Palace on Rue du Marché-aux-Herbes.

- 23:00–01:00: Concert by "Choco y sus Cómplices"

Concerts and other events in Luxembourg City on 22 June
Festivities will continue on Sunday, 22 June 2025 with the traditional torchlight procession, followed by a spectacular display of fireworks, which will be set off from Pont Adolphe. For fans of electronic music and live concerts, Champ du Glacis will be transformed into a huge, open-air stage to mark the fifth edition of the City Sounds festival.
Concerts and other events in Luxembourg City on 23 June
Several official events are planned throughout the day on Monday, 23 June, including a ceremony at the Philharmonie Luxembourg concert hall, a presentation of arms ceremony, a military parade, and a religious service (Te Deum). In the evening, to close the festivities to mark Luxembourg's National Day and the 25th anniversary of HRH the Grand Duke's reign on a musical note, the City of Luxembourg will be hosting another series of concerts as part of the City Sounds festival.
Details of the festivities and events that are scheduled to be held in Luxembourg City from 21 to 23 June 2025 will be announced shortly at a press conference at Luxembourg City Hall.
City Sounds
True to the spirit of the City Sounds festival, Sunday, 22 June 2025 will be devoted entirely to electronic music, with performances by international headline artists, including Klingande, BJones and Oliver Heldens, and a number of well-known Luxembourgish DJs.
On 23 June 2025, for the second day of the festival, City Sounds will be all about pop music, with performances by well-known Luxembourgish talents and international stars, including James Bay and Train.
