The Service Intervention sociale (Social Intervention Department) is an integral part of the Service Jeunesse et intervention sociale (Youth and Social Intervention Department) and is responsible for agreements entered into between the City of Luxembourg and service providers in the social and welfare sectors, as well as for the allocation of solidarity benefits.

Solidarity benefits and energy allowance
Any resident of Luxembourg City who receives cost-of-living benefits from the National Solidarity Fund may apply for solidarity benefits. Every resident of Luxembourg City who has been awarded the energy allowance granted by the National Solidarity Fund for 2024 is eligible for this municipal energy allowance.
