The 19th edition of the CinEast Festival will wrap up with its signature burst of energy, taking over Rotondes for an eclectic closing night!

Treat yourself to delicious Eastern European dishes served throughout the evening, catch a carefully curated selection of entertaining short films, and enjoy a vibrant live performance by Taqsim Driver - a powerhouse act visiting from across the border - before a dynamic DJ set keeps the crowd dancing until late.

A free-spirited guide bridging distinct musical worlds, Taqsim Driver. connects age-old traditions with modern soundscapes. The group revives raw, ancestral melodies and blends them seamlessly with contemporary beats. Their high-octane performance carries a grounded, infectious drive drawing on influences ranging from artists like Omar Souleyman, Ferus Mustafov, Amza Tairov, 47Soul, and the Eastern European wedding bands. Moving fluidly between instrumental riffs, soaring vocals, and a powerful vocal ensemble piece set to Arabic lyrics and Klezmer-inspired rhythms, their set sweeps listeners into an uplifting, high-energy trance. Fresh off acclaimed shows in Canada before extensive touring across France and Germany, the band is introducing new tracks that venture into bold artistic and cultural territory.

At the end of the live show, the DJ set will continue the momentum with a high-tempo mix of Balkan beats and global sounds, keeping the dance floor busy late into the night.
