Remise de prix Zu Fouss mam Velo oder mam Bus an d'Schoul

On Thursday, 19 June 2025, the College of the Mayor and Aldermen, and the City of Luxembourg's Service Enseignement (Education Department) and Service Circulation (Traffic Department) were proud to award a trophy, medals and gifts to the 145 pupils from Bonnevoie-Verger Elementary School, who won the European Mobility Week 2024 inter-school competition, Zu Fouss, mam Vëlo oder mam Bus an d'Schoul (Going to school on foot, by bike or by bus).

During the competition, which ran from 23 September to 11 October 2024, the Bonnevoie-Verger school collected the most stamps out of the 9 schools taking part: 1926 stamps in total (1551 for pupils walking to school, 219 for bus journeys and 156 for pupils who had cycled or scootered to school).

The competition, which has been staged annually since 2019, seeks to promote "soft mobility", and encourage pupils in cycles 1-4 to walk, bike, scooter, or take the bus to school. The project is also aimed at parents, in the hope that they, too, will change their habits and seek alternative means of transport instead of driving their children to and from school.
