Friday, 22 August 2025 saw the official opening of this year's Schueberfouer, Luxembourg City's traditional funfair, which was founded in 1340 by John the Blind, and which, today, transforms the Champ du Glacis into a gigantic fairground with attractions for the entire family. Today, the Schueberfouer is one of the largest funfairs in Europe, and features a unique combination of local traditions, gastronomy and attractions for thrill-seekers.

New attractions and returning favourites in 2025

This year, 213 fairground establishments will be attending the fair. As is the case every year, the City makes every effort to introduce new attractions.

To curb traffic congestion in Limpertsberg, and avoid inconveniencing residents, the City recommends that visitors to the Schueberfouer use the city's P+Rs, and the many car parks serviced by the local tram system, AVL buses, and the special shuttle service (no. 37).
