Pont Grande-Duchesse Charlotte

To accommodate the preparatory works in the lead-up to the festivities on the "red bridge" to mark HRH Grand Duke Guillaume's accession to the throne, the City of Luxembourg and the National Roads Administration (Administration des ponts et chaussées) advise road users that the overtaking lane on the Pont Grande-Duchesse Charlotte will be closed to vehicles travelling towards Kirchberg from 5:00 on Friday, 3 October to 18:00 on Sunday, 5 October 2025.

Although the bridge will still be accessible from the Schuman tunnel and Rond-point Schuman, drivers are advised to use alternative routes.

Motorists are reminded that they are expected to comply with the traffic regulations in force – including the 30 km/h speed limit – and that the Grand Ducal Police will be on hand to enforce compliance with the Traffic Code.
