This year's National Day celebrations will begin on Saturday, 21 June with a large public celebration to mark the 25<sup>th</sup> anniversary of the accession of HRH Grand Duke Henri. The festivities will continue over the following two days, with traditional celebrations such as the torchlight procession (Fakelzuch) on the eve of National Day (22 June), and the military parade on National Day (23 June).

21 June

Jubilee celebrations

The evening's festivities will kick off at around 18:00 with an official ceremony in Place Guillaume II attended by the royal family. In the evening, a spectacular video mapping sound & light show will illuminate the facade of the Grand Ducal Palace. You will not want to miss this captivating display!

Music will fill the air all evening long as squares in the city centre come alive with concerts and musical performances. Among the artists performing, American jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater will take to the stage on Place Guillaume II.

22 June

The eve of National Day

A celebratory atmosphere will pervade the capital all day long, with the traditional Changing of the Guard in front of the Grand Ducal Palace, the torchlight procession (Fakelzuch), concerts in public squares around the city, the City Sounds festival in Champ du Glacis, and a fireworks to close the evening.

23 June

National Day

The official celebrations will begin with a ceremony at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, followed by a 21-gun salute in Fetschenhof, in honour of HRH the Grand Duke. The traditional presentation of arms and military parade will then take place in Avenue de la Liberté. The "Spillfest" will be running throughout the day, with a host of activities for visitors of all ages. Then, in the evening, Champ du Glacis will come alive with music as part of the City Sounds festival.

Traffic and public transport services

There will be changes to traffic and public transport services on 21, 22 and 23 June. If you are driving, the City encourages you to use the P+R facilities.
