For CmpOne, it all began in 1984. Still a teenager, he discovered the raw, original spirit of graffiti and hip-hop culture – an encounter that would mark a decisive turning point in his life. When he first travelled to New York in 1992, he explored the city's iconic subway system, streets and parks, while leaving his signature on walls across the Bronx, Harlem and Manhattan. For more than three decades, he has devoted much of his work to paying tribute to what he sees as the golden age of a culture that has profoundly shaped his artistic journey. His work evokes a time before the internet, when access to information was limited but imagination seemed limitless.

Over the years, CmpOne has exhibited in cities across Europe and taken part in major events dedicated to urban art. As the founder of Fantazie, Denmark's first graffiti magazine, he has also played an active role in promoting graffiti and hip-hop culture through talks, exhibitions and cultural projects.
