Lampertsbierger Laf
For the Lampertsbierger Laf – a foot race organised by the Lycée Technique du Centre – the following changes will apply to traffic on 9 May 2026, between 10:00 and 13:00:
- one-way traffic on Avenue de la Faïencerie, from the path leading to Foyer Don Bosco in the direction of and down to Rue Nico Klopp;
- road closures as required for the route of the Lampertsbierger Laf, and in surrounding streets. Local residents, however, will still be able to access their homes.
Public transport will also be affected as follows:
Line 2 buses: Shortened route. There will be no service to the "Waassertuerm", "Avenir", "Siggy vu Lëtzebuerg" and "L.T. Michel Lucius" stops. The "Square André" stops (Quais 1 & 2) will be replaced by a temporary stop/terminus at no. 2-4, square André.
Line 8: the route of this line will be shortened and diverted. Line 8 will end at a temporary terminus at 21-23, rue J.B. Frezes. There will be no service to the "Faïencerie", "Henri VII", "Ermesinde", "Uni Campus Limpertsberg", "Batty Weber" and "L.T. Michel Lucius" stops. Heading towards Lycée Michel Lucius, this line will be rerouted via Avenue Victor Hugo. They will call at the following replacement stops: temporary stop at 115-119, avenue Pasteur; "Théâtre Quai 1"; "Lycée de Garçons Quai 1"; and "Alen Tramsschapp Quai 1". Buses travelling to "Fondation Pescatore" will be diverted via Avenue Pasteur. They will call at the following replacement stops: "N.S. Pierret", "Alfred de Musset", "Allée Scheffer" and "Theater Quai 2".
