Built to use at Schluechthaus

From 29 September to 3 October 2025, the City of Luxembourg, in collaboration with Skateboard Club Luxembourg, is pleased to invite amateur skaters, artists and anyone who is simply curious to "Built to use – DIY Urban Playground at Schluechthaus". The event takes the form of workshops organised on the site of the former slaughterhouse in Hollerich, celebrating the essence of skating culture: creativity, a can-do attitude and DIY energy, and the freedom to ride!

The architect and skater Tun Kintzele will lead these practical workshops, focusing on how to build concrete skate park modules. The workshops will cover every step of the build from start to finish: preparing and mixing the concrete, pouring it into custom moulds, and shaping and finishing the surfaces to create skate park modules.
