Municipal elections
Municipal elections are open to
- all Luxembourgers, who are automatically registered to vote, provided they satisfy the legal requirements, and
- all non-Luxembourg nationals who have registered to vote in municipal elections.
European elections
European elections are open to
- all Luxembourgers, who are automatically registered to vote, provided they satisfy the legal requirements, and
- all other EU nationals living in Luxembourg, provided they have registered to vote in European elections.
How do I register to vote?
Eligible individuals can register to vote:
- For the municipal elections online, on www.myguichet.lu (a LuxTrust certificate is required)
- For the European elections online, on www.myguichet.lu (a LuxTrust certificate is required)
- at the Bierger-Center (you must bring a valid form of identification, e.g. ID card, passport, residence permit, or residence card of a family member of an EU citizen).
Non-EU or non-Schengen Area foreign nationals who wish to register to vote in the municipal elections must also produce a valid residence card of a family member of an EU citizen or a residence permit.
