Sir Simon Rattle celebrates John Adams

A concert dedicated to the orchestral genius of John Adams: such is the ambition of the London Symphony Orchestra and its Conductor Emeritus, Sir Simon Rattle. Whether translating into music all the different meanings of the word «frenzy», writing a contemporary oratorio based on a libretto by Peter Sellars that revisits the Passion of Christ, or bringing together Richard Wagner and Arnold Schönberg in a tribute to the symphonic genre, the American composer, soon to turn eighty, invariably displays incredible mastery.
