KNOBIL is the project of Lausanne-based double bassist, singer and composer Louise Knobil. At the intersection of jazz, post-bop and French chanson, she turns her diary into compositions full of humour and freedom, where love stories, sleepless nights and pesto recipes sit alongside each other. Inspired by artists such as Esperanza Spalding, Charles Mingus and Boris Vian, she creates a distinctive world shaped by double bass and voice. Joined by Chloé Marsigny on bass clarinet and Fabien Ghirotto on drums, she performs music that is inventive, spontaneous and deeply personal.
