On Wednesday, 25 March 2026, the City of Luxembourg's College of the Mayor and Aldermen officially opened five new pop-up stores in the city centre and the Gare district.

Naderi Photography

Naderi Photography, at 64, avenue de la Liberté, is a creative space devoted entirely to contemporary photography, high-end printing and the sharing of expertise. In addition to offering traditional photography-related services, the space will host workshops on photography techniques, portraiture and fashion photography for beginner and intermediate-level photographers.

Kids' Village

Kids' Village, at 40, rue Philippe II, is an educational space dedicated to discovery and free play. It is open to children from 0 to 6 years old and their families. Managed by UP_Foundation, Kids' Village runs educational workshops every morning for Luxembourg City's schools and crèches. Every afternoon, from Monday to Saturday, Kids' Village also offers a variety of free activities that are open to families.

Lozamo

Lozamo, at 14, Grand-Rue, is a concept store devoted exclusively to cats and dogs. It sells a meticulously curated selection of accessories (leashes, collars, carrier bags, etc.), bedding (baskets, cushions, blankets, mattresses, etc.), designer bowls, toys, and care products made by responsible brands. With its modern product range, Lozamo combines aesthetics and quality, and a commitment to animal well-being.

Microlux

Microlux, at 19–25, rue des Capucins, is a pop–up store that casts a spotlight on entrepreneurs who have received support from microlux, Luxembourg's first microfinance institution. This space serves as a showcase for the products and expertise of several entrepreneurs backed by the institution.
Microlux provides microloans to support and finance people who wish to start or grow their business but do not have access to traditional bank loans.

Hymera

Hymera, at 22, rue Louvigny, is a shop that creates a unique sensory universe, where each candle beckons you to embark on a journey. The Origins collection pays tribute to Luxembourg, the brand's birthplace, while the Private and Essential collections explore the world's cultures and the raw beauty of nature, respectively. Each candle is made of 100% natural wax and comes in a variety of sizes suited to every living space.

The project

By providing commercial premises for rent on a short-term basis, the City of Luxembourg is giving creators, entrepreneurs and start-ups the chance to test out their products, services or concepts directly with their target customers. As such, the "pop-up store" is meant to serve as a springboard for tenants, enabling them to gain hands-on experience before launching their business definitively. Additionally, these temporary stores enhance the city's already rich commercial offering and broaden the city centre's appeal to a more diverse customer base.

Owners of currently vacant commercial premises who are interested in getting involved in the project are invited to contact the City's Cellule Développement économique et commercial (Economic and Commercial Development Unit).
