Mobility for All Day
As part of European Mobility Week, the City is organising a Mobility for All Day, in collaboration with Info-Handicap. This day of action, which seeks to focus attention on the mobility of people with special needs in particular, will be taking place on Thursday, 18 September 2025, from 10:00 to 18:00, in Place Guillaume II.
The City will be presenting its public transport offering catering for people with special needs, with the aim of providing an overview of the benefits and features of the standard buses operated by the Bus Department (Service Autobus), as well as the "Call-a-bus" minibuses, which are fitted with a lifting platform. To raise awareness of the specific needs of the groups affected, visitors will have the chance to travel along two different routes to experience the obstacles encountered by wheelchair users and the visually impaired in their daily journeys. Stands manned by representatives from the City's Integration and Special Needs Department (Service Intégration et besoins spécifiques) and Bus Department, and from Info-Handicap, will also be on hand to provide visitors with further information.
In organising this day, the City is seeking to highlight the challenges that people with special needs face on a daily basis, foster a better understanding of their situation among the general public, improve their daily lives, and promote social cohesion.
