Changes due to public holidays in May 2026

The Bierger-Center will be closed on the following dates:

• 1 May  
• 14 May
• 25 May

The opening hours of the <em>État civil</em> (Civil Registry) will be as follows:

• 1 May: closed  
• 9 May: limited services between 9:30 and 11:30 (for the registration of births and deaths only)
• 14 May: closed
• 25 May: limited services between 9:30 and 11:30 (for the registration of births and deaths only)
• 30 May: limited services between 9:30 and 11:30 (for the registration of births and deaths only)

Due to the public holidays in May, the collection dates for mixed municipal household waste, waste paper, glass, organic waste and blue Valorlux bags will be changed. Throughout the week after a public holiday, the municipal waste collection services will run with one day's delay. Residents are asked to take these changes into account and put their bins out according to the amended waste collection schedule, which is available at dechets.vdl.lu.

The municipal pools will be closed on the following days:  

Badanstalt Aquatic Relaxation Centre, Bonnevoie swimming pool, Rue d'Ostende (Belair) swimming pool, Rue Léon Kauffmann (Cents) swimming pool, learner pools:

Sports halls, gymnasiums, as well as sports complexes – Stade Boy Konen, Boy Konen Bike Park, Stade de Luxembourg, Stade Josy Barthel – are also closed to the public on the following dates:

There will be no <em>Staater Maart</em> on Saturday, 9 May as it is a public holiday in Luxembourg (Europe Day).
