Retirement ceremony for City of Luxembourg staff

On Friday, 5 December 2025, the City honoured its retired staff members during an award ceremony at City Hall. In all, 132 municipal staff and teachers retired in 2025, including 89 men and 43 women.

The City currently employs 4,643 people, of which 2,189 are men and 1,824 are women. To be able to properly provide for its residents, the City of Luxembourg has around fifty administrative, technical, cultural, social and socio-educational departments.
