Reception of Vice-President of the European Parliament

On Wednesday, 17 September 2025, Mayor Lydie Polfer and Alderman Corinne Cahen had the honour of welcoming Sabine Verheyen, Vice-President of the European Parliament, to City Hall.
Discussions focused, among other things, on the appeal of the Luxembourg capital to European institutions, and on housing issues, in particular affordable housing. City officials took the opportunity to present their municipal housing policy and the work of the City's Service Logement (Housing Department).
The meeting reflected the City's determination to consolidate its role as European capital while remaining attentive to the needs of its citizens.
