On Monday, 14 July 2025, the City unveiled the touring exhibition "From passion to purpose: celebrating women in sports" at the Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque. A collaborative project between the Ministry of Sports (Ministère des Sports) and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Diversity (Ministère de l'Egalité des genres et de la Diversité), the exhibition highlights the extraordinary careers of women who are actively helping to shape sports in Luxembourg, whether as athletes, referees, volunteers or managers.
Through a series of inspiring portraits and testimonials, the exhibition celebrates the commitment, passion and impact of these women on the development of sport, both nationally and internationally. Each portrait in the exhibition has a QR code linked to videos showcasing the singular stories of these exceptional women.
With this exhibition, the two ministries wish to pay tribute to women in sports, while inspiring future generations to get involved in the various roles in the sporting world.
The exhibition – organised in parallel with the public screening of the Women's EURO at Champ du Glacis – will be on display at the Lëtzebuerg City Bibliothèque until 28 July 2025.
