Le Mur Luxembourg
For the 26th iteration of LE MUR Luxembourg, I Love Graffiti ASBL and the City are welcoming artist JABA – whose real name is Didier Mathieu – to transform the façade of the Lëtzebuerg City Museum with an original artwork.
Originally from Colombia and living in Belgium since his teenage years, Didier JABA Mathieu has established himself as one of the leading figures in Belgian street art. Trained at the Saint-Luc Institute in Liège, he has developed a distinctive visual style inspired by comic books, manga, science fiction and futuristic worlds, combining vibrant colours, dynamic forms and imagined landscapes.
Alongside his street art career, he also worked as a concept artist in the film industry for a Singapore-based subsidiary of Lucasfilm Ltd, contributing to major international productions. This experience has shaped his artistic approach, enhancing both the visual and narrative dimensions of his work.
Found in both public spaces and galleries, his works reflect a richly imaginative world and a level of technical mastery that has earned him international recognition.
The vernissage will be attended by the artist and H.E. Charles Delogne, Ambassador of Belgium to Luxembourg.
