"Interior - Exterior" exhibition
On Thursday, 25 September 2025, the City of Luxembourg, represented by Alderwoman Corinne Cahen, officially opened the "Interior - Exterior" exhibition in Merl Park, in the presence of artist Marie Capesius, students from the elective photography course at Lycée Aline Mayrisch, and their teacher Séverine Bauer.
The exhibition invites viewers to take a closer look at our environment, and reveals, through images, its intimate connections with our internal world. Under the guidance of Marie Capesius, the young photographers were encouraged to give free rein to their curiosity and intuition. Rather than striving for technical perfection, their aim was to capture atmospheres, changing light, singular shapes and fleeting emotions. By taking repeated shots of the same subject from different angles and at different times of day, the students explored the transformative power of the eye and of light. The result is a series of authentic, sensitive photographs, reflecting at once an inner exploration and an openness to the outside world.
The "Interior - Exterior" exhibition in Merl Park will be running until June 2026.
